The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, through the EOI Foundation, has launched the Female Entrepreneurship Attraction Program that aims to attract to Spain entrepreneurial projects led and managed by women from the European Union. The program is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and has a budget of 10 million euros for the next three years from European Next Generation-EU funds. The objective of the program is to serve 833 female entrepreneurs.

It is a program aimed at women entrepreneurs residing in the European Union who want to explore Spain as a potential market for internationalization and find new business partners, while helping to solve local challenges aligned with their field of expertise. It is about attracting entrepreneurial projects led and managed by women from the European Union to our country, with the aim of giving them first-hand knowledge of the Spanish business ecosystem and eventually being able to establish business relationships with Spanish entities and invest in our country, at the same time. to be used to solve sectorial challenges in favor of Spanish local development.

Recovering Spanish female talent from abroad

In the same way, it is intended to recover Spanish female talent that is out as a result of the economic crises of recent years, which has made many Spanish professionals decide to seek better job opportunities outside of Spain. It is intended that part of these women can return to Spain, offering them training and mentoring.

Requirements

The recipients must be female entrepreneurs residing in the European Union and who wish to develop their entrepreneurial project in Spain. They have to be of legal age and run a start-up company, a scale company, a high growth company or have a clear business idea, even if the company has not yet been created.

This initiative to promote female entrepreneurship joins the Executive's commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship, reflected in the recent approval by the Council of Ministers of the Bill to promote the ecosystem of emerging companies, the Startups Law.

A regulation to promote innovative entrepreneurship, which will make Spain one of the most attractive countries for the creation of startups and favor the change of the productive structure, improve the business climate and create employment.
