The main attraction of the capital, Ja\u00e9n (112,000 inhabitants) is its architecture and the coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Muslim cultures in the aesthetics of its streets. The monumental cities par excellence, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, are \u00dabeda and Baeza. These two jewels of the Andalusian Renaissance are compared to Italian cities<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-12 col-md-6\">\n<p>for their splendid monumental complex made up of 16th and 17th century Renaissance palaces and churches. In addition to the mountains, the other landscape that defines the image of this province is the olive grove. Ja\u00e9n is the world center for olive oil, the liquid gold from Andalusia that is exported to the rest of the continents. This oil of exquisite quality is present in the typical Andalusian breakfast (coffee and toasts of bread watered in oil) and in all Spanish gastronomy.
